An overblown smile - but not fake

Completely Forgiven.....really, we are
1 John 1:9 says this "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"
Of all the words in this text, the word "all" stands out as the most vital. The blood of Christ covers all of our sins: Past, present and future. The text doesn't say "some" of our sins or even "most" of our sins. It says "all" of our sins. Can you imagine if the atoning work of Jesus on the cross was only powerful enough to cleanse us from a portion of our sins? That would leave salvation partially up to us.
I'm so thankful that the same God who created the heavens and the earth gave me a means of escape from eternal judgment and separation from Him. Without Christ's atoning work on the cross and subsequent resurrection three days later, we would be in a heap of trouble.....and on our way to hell.
Remember to thank Him today for who He is and what He did on the cross for you.
